Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
For my pardon, yes I see
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
For my cleansing there's my plead
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Nothing can for sin a tone
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Not of good that I have done
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
This is all my hope and peace
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
This is all my righteous mess
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Robert Lowry (1826–1899) was an American Baptist minister, hymn writer, and composer born in Philadelphia. He showed a passion for music from a young age and later became an influential pastor and professor. Though preaching was his primary calling, he composed many beloved hymns, including Shall We Gather at the River?, I Need Thee Every Hour, and We're Marching to Zion. His hymns, widely published in Sunday School songbooks, continue to inspire generations. Despite his musical contributions, he regarded preaching as his greatest work. He passed away in 1899, leaving a lasting legacy in gospel music.
