Have You Been to Jesus - Lyrics

1 Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Chorus:
Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless?
Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

2 Are you walking daily by the Savior's side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

3 When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

4 Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There's a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

There is a Fountain Filled With Blood - Hymn Lyrics

1 There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel's veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains:
Lose all their guilty stains,
Lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.

2 The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away:
Wash all my sins away,
Wash all my sins away;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.

3 Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its pow'r,
Till all the ransomed Church of God
Be saved, to sin no more:
Be saved, to sin no more,
Be saved, to sin no more;
Till all the ransomed Church of God
Be saved to sin no more.

4 E'er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die:
And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

5 When this poor lisping, stamm'ring tongue
Lies silent in the grave,
Then in a nobler, sweeter song
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save:
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save,
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save;
Then in a nobler, sweeter song
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save.

"There Is a Fountain Filled with Blood" is a well-known Christian hymn written by William Cowper in 1772. It is based on Zechariah 13:1 (KJV):

"In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness."

Hymn Theme

The hymn speaks of the cleansing power of Jesus Christ's blood, shed for sinners on the cross. It emphasizes redemption, salvation, and the believer's confidence in God's grace.

I can sing now the song Of the blood ransomed throng - Hymn Lyrics

1. I can sing now the song Of the bloodransomed throng
In my soul There is peace, rest and calm;
I am free from all doubt, And I join in the shout,
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
I'm redeemed, I'm redeemed,
Jesus saves me and keeps me just now,
Hallelujah,
And I join with the throng round the throne In the song,
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

2. Oh! I know I'm alive In the Lord, and I strive
Unto blood with the sun that would damn;
As I walk in the light There is strength for the fight,
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
I'm redeemed, I'm redeemed,
Jesus saves me and keeps me just now,
Hallelujah,
And I join with the throng round the throne In the song,
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

3. I have grace for the day, I have help by the way;
There is healing and comforting balm;
For my sickness there's health, For my poverty wealth,
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
I'm redeemed, I'm redeemed,
Jesus saves me and keeps me just now,
Hallelujah,
And I join with the throng round the throne In the song,
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

4. In the storm and the night, In the midst of the fight
Jesus puts in my hand victory's palm;
Overcoming all foes, In the Lord I repose,
I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
I'm redeemed, I'm redeemed,
Jesus saves me and keeps me just now,
Hallelujah,
And I join with the throng round the throne In the song,

I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

The lines "I can sing now the song Of the blood-ransomed throng" seem to come from a lesser-known hymn, possibly focusing on redemption through Christ’s blood. The theme aligns with Revelation 5:9 (KJV):

"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation."

Lord, Jesus bore the cross for our sins - Hymnal Lyrics

1. Lord, Jesus bore the cross for our sins.
He had to go throughall the suff'rings.
With patience walking His painful path.
How can I thank Him for His great love?

2. While I did all the grave sins in life.
Lord, Jesus had to suffer the pains.
How can I lift our face up to Him?
How can I look on His suff'ring face?

3. With tears I cry to Jesus the Lord.
Shedding His blood He paid for my sins.
Your faithful servant make me Oh, Lord.
Make me live my life all for you, Lord.
Amen.

"Lord, Jesus Bore the Cross for Our Sins" is a Christian hymn performed by Grace Jung. The song reflects on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who bore the cross to atone for humanity's sins. It is featured on the album "Piano on the Hill _ Hymns, Vol.7" by Grace Jung.Shazam

The hymn is also listed as Hymn 256 in certain hymnals.

Though Your Sins Be as Scarlet - Hymn Lyrics

1 Though your sins be as scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though your sins be as scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they be red like crimson,
They shall be as wool;
Though your sins be as scarlet,
Though your sins be as scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow,
They shall be as white as snow.

2 Hear the voice that entreats you,
O return ye unto God!
Hear the voice that entreats you,
O return ye unto God!
He is of great compassion,
And of wondrous love;
Hear the voice that entreats you,
Hear the voice that entreats you,
O return ye unto God!
O return ye unto God!

3 He’ll forgive your transgressions,
And remember them no more;
He’ll forgive your transgressions,
And remember them no more;
"Look unto Me, ye people,"
Saith the Lord your God;
He’ll forgive your transgressions,
He’ll forgive your transgressions,
And remember them no more,
And remember them no more.

"Though Your Sins Be as Scarlet" is a hymn based on Isaiah 1:18 (KJV):

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

This hymn emphasizes God's mercy, forgiveness, and the cleansing power of His grace. It is often used in evangelistic settings, encouraging sinners to turn to Christ for redemption.

I Hear Thy Welcome Voice - Hymn Lyrics

1 I hear Your welcome voice
that calls me by Your will,
for cleansing in Your precious blood
that flowed on Calvary's hill.

Refrain
I am coming, Lord,
coming by Your will:
wash me, cleanse me, by the blood
that flowed on Calvary's hill.

2 ’Tis Jesus calls me on
to perfect faith and love,
to perfect hope, and peace, and trust,
for earth and heaven above.

3 ’Tis Jesus who confirms
the blessèd work within,
by adding grace to welcomed grace,
where reigned the power of sin.

4 All hail, atoning blood!
All hail, redeeming grace!
All hail, the gift of Christ our Lord,
our strength and righteousness!

"I Hear Thy Welcome Voice" is a well-known Christian hymn written by Lewis T. Hartsough in 1872. The hymn is an invitation to sinners to come to Jesus for cleansing and salvation, emphasizing God's grace and willingness to forgive. It is often associated with altar calls and revival meetings.

The hymn is deeply rooted in biblical themes, especially from verses like Isaiah 1:18 (KJV):
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Today your mercy calls us to wash away our sins - Hymn Lyrics

1 Today your mercy calls us
to wash away our sin.
However great our trespass,
whatever we have been,
however long from mercy
our hearts have turned away,
your precious blood can wash us
and make us clean today.

2 Today your gate is open,
and all who enter in
shall find a Father's welcome
and pardon for their sin.
The past shall be forgotten,
a present joy be giv'n,
a future grace be promised,
a glorious crown in heav'n.

3 Today our Father calls us,
his Holy Spirit waits;
his blessed angels gather
around the heav'nly gates.
No question will be asked us
how often we have come;
although we oft have wandered,
it is our Father's home.

4 O all-embracing Mercy,
O ever-open Door,
what should we do without you
when heart and eye run o'er?
When all things seem against us,
to drive us to despair,
we know one gate is open,
one ear will hear our prayer.

What Can Wash Away my Sin - Nothing but the Blood Hymn Lyrics

What can wash away my sin
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

For my pardon, yes I see
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
For my cleansing there's my plead
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Nothing can for sin a tone
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Not of good that I have done
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

This is all my hope and peace
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
This is all my righteous mess
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

He passed away in 1899, leaving a lasting legacy in gospel music.

Marvelous Grace of Loving Lord - Hymn Lyrics

1 Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary's mount out-poured–
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilt.

Refrain:
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!

2 Sin and despair, like the sea-waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater– yes, grace untold–
Points to the Refuge, the mighty Cross.

3 Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
Freely bestowed on all who believe!
All who are longing to see His face,
Will you this moment His grace receive?

Julia H. Johnston (1849–1919) was an American hymn writer born in Salineville, Ohio. The daughter of a minister and a poet, she began writing at age nine and developed her talent further in high school. She lived in Peoria, Illinois, and is best known for her hymn Grace Greater Than Our Sins.

Down at the Cross Where my Savior Died - Lyrics

1 Down at the cross where my Savior died,
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to his name!

Refrain:
Glory to his name,
Glory to his name;
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to his name!

2 I am so wondrously saved from sin,
Jesus so sweetly abides within;
There at the cross where he took me in;
Glory to his name!

3 Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin,
I am so glad I have entered in;
There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean;
Glory to his name!

4 Come to this fountain so rich and sweet,
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet;
Plunge in today, and be made complete;
Glory to his name!

Come, We That Love the Lord - Hymn Lyrics

1. Come, we that love the Lord,
and let our joys be known;
join in a song with sweet accord,
and thus surround the throne.

2. Let those refuse to sing
who never knew our God;
but children of the heav'nly King
may speak their joys abroad.

3. The hill of Zion yields
a thousand sacred sweets
before we reach the heav'nly fields,
or walk the golden streets.

4. Then let our songs abound,
and every tear be dry;
we're marching through Emmanuel's ground
to fairer worlds on high.

Isaac Watts (1674–1748) was an influential English hymn writer, theologian, and logician. Born in Southampton, he showed early literary talent and studied at a Nonconformist academy. He became pastor of an Independent congregation in London in 1702 but suffered from poor health throughout his life.

Watts was a prolific writer, publishing numerous works on theology, philosophy, and education. He is best known for his hymns, composing over 800, including "Behold the Glories of the Lamb" and "There is a Land of Pure Delight." His collections, such as Hymns and Spiritual Songs (1707) and The Psalms of David Imitated (1719), significantly shaped Protestant hymnody.

He spent his later years as a guest at Sir Thomas Abney’s home, where he continued his literary work. Watts died in 1748 and was buried at Bunhill Fields, with a monument later erected in Westminster Abbey. His works, especially his hymns, remain widely recognized and influential.

O Sacred Head, Now Wounded - Passion of Christ Hymn

O sacred head now wounded
With grief and shame waighed down
Now scornfully surrounded
With thorns thine only crown
How pale Thou art with anguish
With sore abuse and scorn
How does that visage languish
Which once was bright as morn

What thou, my Lord, hast suffered
Was all for sinners' gain
Oh mine was the transgression
But thine the deadly pain
Lo, here I fall, my Savior
'Tis I deserve thy place
Look on me with thy favor
Vouchsafe to me thy grace

What language shall I borrow
To thank thee, dearest Friend
For this, thy dying sorrow
Thy pity without end?
Oh, make me thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never, never
Outlive my love to thee

Father, God in heaven above - Hymn

1. Father, God in heaven above Him we worship with our thanks.
God promised Abraham, That he will have his own son.
When the time came for him Sarah begot son, Isaac.
God His promise always keeps When His time has come.

2. God of promise, God on high He keeps His Words all the time.
We can trust His own words As the case of Abraham.
Though we can't see with eyes His great work of Exodus.
God, the Lord of covenant; People trust His Word.

3. We may not His kingdom see, Everlasting realm of God.
Though we can't see with eyes He prepared our home for us.
He surely keeps His Words, Even we see it in life.

We will meet Him at the last, In our home in Heaven.

Look at the Lord Jesus Christ - Hymn

1. Look at the Lord Jesus Christ Mounted on the white horse in heaven
Clad in the red royal robe King of kings and Lord of lords.
He will judge, fight against sin Who has sealed us as His soldier.
He is holy and true Word of our God and Our Lord Savior.

2. Strong evil power of the world Threatens us in our daily life
We armed with true Words of God Fight against it with assurance.
We will fight when Jesus asks As one sealed by Lord, Jesus Christ.
Let us follow as He leads us our way, Clad in white robe.

3. Blessed are we when we sing And adore Him with joyous song.
Into the Lambs wedding feast We are all invited to come.
He gives us white shining robe As we lived a life of service.
God will take us to sit in at the wedding, Glory to God.
Amen.

I've Cast My Heavy Burdens Down

1. I’ve cast my heavy burdens down on Canaan’s happy shore,
I’m living where the healing waters flow;
I’ll wander in the wilderness of doubt and sin no more;
I’m living where the healing waters flow.

Refrain
Living on the shore, I’m living on the shore,
I’m living where the healing waters flow;
Living on the shore, I’m living on the shore,
I’m living where the healing waters flow.

2. With Israel’s trusting children I’m rejoicing on my way,
I’m living where the healing waters flow;
The cloudy fiery pillar is my guiding light today;
I’m living where the healing waters flow.

3. My hung’ring soul is satisfied with manna from above,
I’m living where the healing waters flow;
No more I thirst, the rock I’ve found, that fount of endless love;
I’m living where the healing waters flow.

4. I’m singing Hallelujah, safely anchored in my soul,
I’m living where the healing waters flow;
I’m resting on His promises; the blood has made me whole;
I’m living where the healing waters flow.

I've Reached the Land of Corn and Wine - Hymnal Library

1. I’ve reached the land of corn and wine,
And all its riches freely mine;
Here shines undimmed one blissful day,
For all my night has passed away.

Chorus:
O Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land,
As on thy highest mount I stand,
I look away across the sea,
Where mansions are prepared for me,
And view the shining glory shore,
My Heav’n, my home forevermore!

2. My Savior comes and walks with me,
And sweet communion here have we;
He gently leads me by His hand,
For this is Heaven’s borderland.

3. A sweet perfume upon the breeze
Is borne from ever-vernal trees;
And flow’rs that never fading grow
Where streams of life forever flow.

4. The zephyrs seem to float to me,
Sweet sounds of Heaven’s melody,
As angels with the white-robed throng
Join in the sweet redemption song.

For all the saints - Hymn Lyrics

1. For all the saints who from their labors rest,
who Thee by faith before the world confessed;
Thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

2. Thou wast their Rock, their Fortress and their Might;
Thou, Lord, their Captain in the well-fought fight;
Thou, in the darkness drear, their one true Light.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

3. O blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
yet all are one in Thee, for all are Thine.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

4. And when the strife is fierce, the warfare long,
steals on the ear the distant triumph song,
and hearts are brave again, and arms are strong.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

5. But then there breaks a still more glorious day:
the saints triumphant rise in bright array;
the King of glory passes on His way.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

6. From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast,
through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
in praise of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

Face to Face With Christ My Savior - Hymn Lyrics

1. Face to face with Christ, my Savior,
Face to face- what will it be
When with rapture I behold him,
Jesus Christ who died for me?

Refrain:
Face to face I shall behold him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all his glory,
I shall see him by and by.

2. Only faintly now I see him
With the darkened veil between,
But a blessed day is coming
When his glory shall be seen.

3. What rejoicing in his presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
When the crooked ways are straightened
And the dark things shall be plain.

4. Face to face- oh, blissful moment!
Face to face- to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ who loves me so.

We Shall See the Desert as the Rose - Hymn Lyrics

1. We shall see the desert as the rose,
Walking in the King’s highway;
There’ll be singing where salvation goes,
Walking in the King’s highway.

Refrain
There’s a highway there and a way,
Where sorrow shall flee away;
And the light shines bright as the day,
Walking in the King’s highway.

2. We shall see the glory of the Lord,
Walking in the King’s highway;
And behold the beauty of His Word,
Walking in the King’s highway.

3. There the rain shall come upon the ground,
Walking in the King’s highway;
And the springs of water will be found,
Walking in the King’s highway.

4. There no ravenous beast shall make afraid,
Walking in the King’s highway;
For the purified the way was made,
Walking in the King’s highway.

5. No unclean things shall pass o’er here,
Walking in the King’s highway;
But the ransomed ones without a fear,
Walking in the King’s highway.

I Will Sing You a Song of That Beautiful Land - Hymn lyrics

1. I will sing you a song of that beautiful land,
The far away home of the soul;
Where no storms ever beat on that glittering strand,
While the years of eternity roll.

Refrain:
While the years of eternity roll.
While the years of eternity roll,
Where no storms ever beat on that glittering strand,
While the years of eternity roll.

2. Oh, that home of the soul in my visions and dreams,
Its bright jasper walls I can see;
Till I fancy but thinly the vale intervenes
Between the fair city and me.

3. That unchangable home is for you and for me,
Where Jesus of Nazareth stands;
The King of all kingdoms forever, is He,
And He holdeth our crowns in His hands.

4. Oh, how sweet it will be in that beautiful land,
So free from all sorrow and pain;
With songs on our lips and with harps in our hands
To meet one another again.
